In your newborn session, we will focus on your connection with your baby, including any family member/ sibling/ even pet in attendance. Our style is less posed, more organic, and very relaxed, often capturing real moments between you and your new baby. When baby is sleepiest, we will do our best to get pictures of baby by themselves, and details of their tiny toes and attributes. We do not photograph babies naked, rather we prefer them swaddled and/or dressed in a onesie and photographed in a way you might find them naturally, not posed.

What is an at home lifestyle newborn session?

Creating honest memories between family members
Finally, If the weather is nice, we can pop outside your home and find a sweet little natural nook to get a few more pictures of the new baby with the family.
After many years of photographing newborns, this style, a more natural approach to newborn pictures, speaks to our hearts. We hope this speaks to you the way it does to us. If it does, scroll down to check out the FAQs and say hello in our contact us form at the bottom of the page.
FAQ.
Where will the newborn shoot take place?
What if the baby is fussy?
What should we and our baby wear?
How to we prepare for the session?
What comes with the session?
Can our dog or other children be in the portrait shoot?
A.
We will shoot in your home where you and the baby is most comfortable. We usually ask that the heat be turned up slightly higher, it helps the baby feel relaxed and sleepier. We generally take most of the pictures in the nursery, or wherever the most light is, therefore we ask you to open up all the blinds and curtains prior to the shoot. Weather permitting, we also love to bop outside to grab a few portraits with the family in nature. It's fun to remember what the weather was like when your child was just a little nugget. Don't be alarmed at the state of your home, you just had a baby! We understand totally. We may move some furniture/ items out of the way while shooting, but we do not judge.
