We've been doing this together for nearly fifteen years. What that time has taught us is pretty simple: the best photographs come from people who feel comfortable, not performed.
Before any session, we take time to actually know the people we're working with. Your story, how you are together, what makes you laugh. That's what shows up in every frame.
Whether it's your wedding day, a family afternoon on the beach, or a sunrise proposal at Sleeping Bear, whoever you get from us, you're getting someone who genuinely cares how your photos turn out.

Before anything is signed, we want to talk. Over coffee, a video call, whatever works. You're trusting us with something that matters, and that deserves a real conversation before we ever pick up a camera.
On the day itself, our main goal is to make sure your portraits feel like you. We move through your session with intention, noticing quiet moments, but also knowing when to step in and give a little direction to make the images that much better.
Your gallery is a narrative, not just a collection of well-composed frames. It's a conversation between what happened and how it felt. If you're having a blast, your images will show it. That's why we work so hard to set you up for success before the session ever starts.

We photograph throughout the Grand Traverse region, from the vineyards of Old Mission Peninsula to the shoreline at Sleeping Bear Dunes. We know these places the way locals know them: where the light falls, where the crowds aren't, and what makes each spot worth the drive.
