Why This Venue
Starry Night Barn sits on the Leelanau Peninsula just outside Suttons Bay. The property has a way of slowing everything down. Couples stay in the Century Farm Cottages the night before, wake up on their wedding morning already surrounded by the people they love most, and walk into the day without the usual chaos.
The ceremony happens under the willow tree. That single detail changes everything about the light, the feeling, and the photographs. The branches frame couples in a way that no arch or floral installation can replicate. It is one of those rare spots where nature just does the work for you.
Inside, the barn is all warm wood grain, string lights, and that particular quality of evening light that photographers spend careers chasing. When the reception moves inside and the dancing starts, the room comes alive in a way that makes for genuinely beautiful photographs, not just documentation.
And when the night winds down, the orchard and surrounding grounds are still there for golden hour portraits. We have used that property in every season. It gives every single time.
